Hey, I’m Jena Flach, born and raised right here in Grande Prairie.
I’m young, motivated, and genuinely passionate about making our city stronger and more connected.
I’m running for city council because I believe local government should be easy to understand, transparent, and actually connect with the people it serves.
I’ve spent time learning how council works — and the more I learned, the more I realized how few people, especially younger folks, are ever really included in the conversation.
I want to change that.
I want to bring a fresh voice, clear communication, and a little personality back into local politics.

My Priorities for Grande Prairie
1. Clear, Honest Communication
City council shouldn’t feel like a mystery. I’ll make decisions, processes, and updates easier to access and understand — so more people can be involved.
2. Stronger Community Connections
From local businesses to seniors, youth, and new residents — everyone should feel seen, heard, and supported in shaping our city’s future.
3. Smart, Transparent Spending
Our tax dollars should go where they make the biggest difference. I’ll push for responsible budgeting that reflects real community needs
4.Building a More Engaged City
Only 21% voted last election. I’m working to change that by making city issues easier to follow and encouraging more people — especially younger voices — to get involved.
